3- Next, the second sharpening with water is performed by one of Japan’s most renowned craftsmen

4- The implementation of the damascus steel layers is a detailed step done by a craftsman trained by his father, who was in turn a recognized specialist throughout Japan. He uses the technique called “halo” to make this damask. The pattern is thus finer, which allows the blade’s thread to be harder, thus sharper.  

5- Finally, the creation of the handle is carried out by a craftsman with more than 40 years of experience in the field, and who is specialized in the creation of Masterpiece knives’ handles.

On top of the indisputable work done by the Japanese craftsmen, it is also important to mention that the materials that were used are of great quality. For example, the blade has a VG10 steel core with 1% of carbon content that ensures the solidity and robustness of this knife. Moreover, the handle is made of micarta, which is a composite material which is very resistant to moisture and heat.
